Kelly Dean Wann was born on July 23, 1960 to Rex and Dorothy (Troudt) Wann in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He passed away on March 30, 2026.

Kelly spent much of his young adulthood exploring life in different states. He eventually settled down in Tucson, Arizona and called it home for over 20 years. After his daughter finished school, he returned to Fort Morgan to help care for his parents and sisters. Before retiring, he worked in Special Education at Fort Morgan Middle School.

He discovered his love for music at a young age and carried that passion throughout his entire life. Some of his favorite artists were The Beatles, Elvis, and The Beach Boys, although he enjoyed countless others- as his CD collection could attest to. He also loved books and spent much of his professional career as a bookseller. Kelly had a wealth of knowledge and could answer just about any question related to art, music, or literature.

Kelly was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend; he loved deeply. He was the kind of grandpa who would always advocate for the kids to have one more cookie, candy or popsicle. He always made sure that his grandchildren had no shortage of books, because, as he would say, "reading is important." He was a fiercely loyal father and will always be remembered as being the best cheerleader and confidant. He will be deeply missed.

Kelly is survived by his daughter, Olivia Klein; grandchildren, Albert Dean and Wilhelmina Klein; and sisters, Wanda and Dona Wann. A special thank you to his cousin, Jim Wann, whose presence, prayers, and loving support meant so much to Kelly and the family throughout his declining health.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 11:00 am at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Attendees are invited to wear their favorite band (or music related) T-shirt.
