Kenneth Edward
Beauprez
Jun 6, 1941 — May 23, 2026
Kenneth Edward Beauprez, 84, of Fort Morgan, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. Kenneth was born June 6,1941, in Longmont, Colorado to Anthony and Anna Belle Beauprez.
Kenneth lived and attended school in Louisville, Colorado where
he met his wife, Janice Beauprez. Kenneth married Janice on November 22, 1958, and soon after they welcomed their son Todd Beauprez and daughter Debra Beauprez (Chestnut). Growing up on the family farm near Louisville, Ken and his young family started farming and milking cows in Boulder, CO. In 1968 Ken moved his family out to Morgan County where he initially started farming on the Bijou Hill and eventually
purchased their farm south of Fort Morgan.
During the 1970's and 80's Ken became highly active in the Young Farmers organization where he held multiple officer positions including President. He was an avid softball player and enjoyed socializing with all members of the Young Farmers. Kenneth took pride in supporting the farming community of Morgan County, especially supporting the local 4H groups and FFA chapters. Those who knew Ken recognized his love for animals and the pride that he took in the crops he grew. In June 1999 Ken stepped back from farming full time and began his career as the Production Manager at DFA in Fort Morgan where he retired in March 2011. While at DFA, Ken's sense of humor and work ethic created friendships, trust, and unwavering support of his coworkers. Throughout Ken's life his love for family, friends and farming was a testament of who Ken was. No matter how busy he was there was always time to make conversation with a familiar face, or to tease and torment a young grandchild, niece or nephew. At family gatherings his orneriness filled the room with smiles and laughter that became contagious. Ken was there as a father figure to many and always willing to help friends or family member whenever needed. Ken loved farming, raising cattle, woodworking and the outdoors. After retirement he enjoyed taking his boat out fishing, waterskiing, and restoring antique furniture.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Janice; parents, Tony and Ann Beauprez and brothers Larry, Jerry, and Jimmy Beauprez and daughter-in-law, Roxanne Beauprez.
Kenneth leaves behind his son, Todd Beauprez and daughter, Debbie Chestnut (Rick); two grandsons, Wyatt Beauprez and Erik Chestnut; one granddaughter, Alisha Sagel (Shawn); sister, Paula Nye; sisters-in-law, Lollie Beauprez, Nancy Beauprez, Bobbie Clapper (Mark), Linda Costell; (Eddie) brothers-in-law, Rick Kahl (Maureen) and Mike Kahl (Jerri); nieces and nephews, Tim Beauprez (Kim), Jodee Baker (Todd), Barry Beauprez (Grace), Bradley Beauprez (Christy), Evan Beauprez (Carri), Reid Kahl, Kent Kahl, Kelli McCloughan, Cami Kohler (Rusty), Doug Clapper (Genny), Melinda Schmalzer (Scott), Mitch Kahl, Morgan Kahl; great grandson, Jayden Renka and many great nieces and nephews, that loved him as their "Papa Kenny".
Kenneth was loved by many family and friends and will be greatly missed. He may be gone but never forgotten.
