Kenneth "Ken" Kenny departed this life on Wednesday, August 20th 2025.  Kenny was born in May of 1936 in Neptune New Jersey to Catherine and Aldan Kenny.  He attended grade school and high school in the beach town of Manasquan, NJ.  Along in attendance there was Jack Nicholson, one who would become an A list actor in Hollywood.  The two became very good friends throughout their childhoods and would work and collaborate together in the film industry.

After graduating high school Kenny served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and was stationed in Korea.  After separating from service, he went to college in New Jersey and then on to Miami University to study film editing.  During his studies he worked as film editor on the University's television station.  After University Kenny landed a job as a film editor with NBC News in New York City with Huntley-Brinkley Report news program which aired from 1956 to 1970.  Kenny was there during the Kennedy assassination in 1963 and would recall how much work there was during that time, as every single detail of the event and Kennedy's life would be updated continuously.  He reviewed every single photograph and film taken of Kennedy during his life for various newscasts, and said there is a lot the public hasn't seen.  Kenny commented that the Kennedy's were the most photographed and filmed political figures up to that point in history.  Kenny mentioned the significance of the dawning of live television reports and was proud to have been a part of supplying real time information to the public.  During this time Jack consulted Kenny on film editing and techniques for his Hollywood roles.  Kenny eventually moved to the NBC office in Los Angeles, California where he worked film editing.  While there he would become the editor of a film Jack directed "Drive, He Said" (1971) and would go on to play a role in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) playing the part of Beans Garfield.  Kenny attended Laker's basketball games with his friend Jack.

Between his time on the east coast and the west coast Kenny enjoyed visiting Aspen, Colorado where Jack and other local friends, one being Michael M, would accompany him.  He enjoyed fine foods and spirits throughout his endeavors in life and dinned at some of the most notable restaurants in New York and LA.

For the last 20 years he resided at Sunset Manor in Brush, Colorado, (now called South Platte Health and Rehabilitation Center).

Kenny is survived by his sister Linda Nordell of New Jersey.

A memorial to honor Kenny's life will be held at South Platte Health and Rehabilitation Center in Brush, Colorado.  The service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 17th.
