Kevin Wayne Posey, 40 passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home in Orchard, Colorado.  Kevin was born May 7, 1981 in Fort Morgan, CO.

He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Posey of Scottsboro, AL; father, Ken Posey of Grant, AL; sisters, Lisa Patten of Grant, AL, Stephanie Snyder and Tamara Posey of Flat Rock, MI; brothers, Alan Posey of Scottsboro, AL, Brian Posey of Adrian, MI and Eric Patten of Fort Morgan.  He is also survived by his wife, Jackie Patten of Orchard; stepson, Marcus Patten of Hillsboro, ND; stepdaughters, Kiley and Emily Patten of Orchard; nephew, Brian Preston of Huntsville, AL; and grandsons, Alex and Daniel Patten and Patrick Dunihoo of Shoshoni, WY.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Holly and Richard Austin of Fort Morgan and Marion Talley and Evie Oden of Alabama.

Kevin was a hard worker and most enjoyed his time in the oil field and driving a truck.  He loved spending time with family and adored his 2 dogs, Molly and Bella. Kevin also loved being outside, painting, drawing, baking anything sweet and his iced tea.

Kevin's selflessness and compassion for others will always be remembered.

Family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
