The beautiful life of Kordell Jeks Tibbetts ended Saturday September 8, 2018. The third child of Michael and Marilynn (Kluge) Tibbetts, he was born December 10, 1998 in Denver. Kordell was a stellar scholar studying engineering in his second year at University of Colorado, Boulder. He graduated high school as Valedictorian from Weldon Valley High School in 2017. His passion for computer science engineering grew from a childhood filled with a constant curiosity of the world around him. From a young age, he developed talents through puzzles, legos, board games, inventions, experiments, and cooking. At the age of 14, he became the brains behind the theatre digital projectors at the family's longtime business - the Cover 4 Theatres. Kordell had a deep appreciation of nature and a fondness for hiking, gardening, and bird watching, especially owls. Kordell shared with his family a love for time on the lake, often enjoying the thrills of boating, wild tube rides, and mellow ski runs. He and his dad also enjoyed snow skiing, and recently he was becoming hard to catch. Of all his passions, piano was his greatest. He relentlessly worked to master new songs on the piano that once belonged to his grandparents, Don and Meta Tibbetts. His abilities as a pianist were so special to his late Grandma Marion, and his whole family. Kordell cherished quality time with his family and friends, and he inspired others through his talents and intense love of learning.

Continuing his legacy are his big brother Kade Tibbetts, his big sister Danika (Tibbetts) Greiner and her husband Adam Greiner, his parents, and many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A celebration of Kordell's life will take place at Weldon Valley High School, Weldona, CO at 10:00AM on Saturday September 15, 2018.
