Larre Dean Chilcote, 61, lifelong area resident, passed away Sunday evening, October 4, 2015 at his home in Fort Morgan after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on July 29, 1954 in Fort Morgan to Dan & Freda (Dietz) Chilcote. After graduating from high school, Larre attended UNC where he obtained his teaching degree. He married Ceil Heit in Denver on August 26, 1978. Larre taught school with the RE-3 School District for 32 years before his final retirement. Larre enjoyed golfing, fishing, barbecuing, and going on walks. He also liked to read, garden, and tour breweries. He cherished time spent with his family. They will remember him as the kindest man they have ever known. Larre is survived by his wife, Ceil Chilcote of Fort Morgan; his four daughters, Britney Hicks and her husband, Dylan of Broomfield, Maggie Worthley and her husband, Wade of Loveland, Ali Alfano and her husband, Michael of New York, and Carly Underwood and her husband, Cole of Fort Collins. Larre is also survived by his brother, Lance Chilcote and his wife, Jamie of Aurora; his sister, Linda Walter and her husband, Rich of Brush; and his five grandchildren, Callihan, Gemma, Annalea, Liv, and Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents. A service to celebrate Larre's life will be held at the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan on Monday, October 12th at 10:30 AM. The service will conclude at the church. Friends may make memorial donations in Larre's name and send to Heer Mortuay, 225 E. Platte Ave. in Fort Morgan.
