Larry Haller passed away March 25, 2022 with family at his side. He was born June 21, 1958 to Raymond and June Haller in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He was the youngest of three siblings.

Larry was raised on the Haller Ranch in the Last Chance area and went to the Woodlin School, graduating in 1976. He was involved with many activities while in High School but loved his sports. He played football, basketball and ran track. When he was on the football team in 1974, they won the 1A state football championship. He also holds several Woodlin track records.

After high school, Larry worked for a local farmer/rancher for a couple of years, then attended a Broadcasting School in the Denver area. After completing the course, he obtained a job with the Sterling Tv station. During this time, he married Pennie Templeton on July 7, 1979. They had three children, Kelly, Eric and Brandy. In 1988 the family moved back to the Haller Ranch. Larry always referred to it as "God's Country."

Larry helped form the Southwest Washington Volunteer Fire Department. He was a fireman for many years and served on the Board of Directors. He also served on the Eastern Slope Telephone Board for the last 4 years.

Larry loved to play racquetball, listen to hard rock music (the louder, the better) and play his guitars.

Kelly and Brandy both married and gave him five grandchildren whom he loved to play with; Teegan and Camden Bellendir, and Logan, Sophia and Memphis Cutshaw.

Larry is survived by his wife Pennie; his children, Kelly and Mike Bellendir (Teegan and Camden) and Brandy and Brian Cutchaw (Logan, Sophie and Memphis). He is also survived by his mother, June Haller;  siblings, Linda Wicks and Luanne Bowers; an aunt; nieces and nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Haller; and son Eric Haller.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Last Chance Fire Hall April 6, 2022 from 11:00 – 3:00. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Southwest Washington Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship Fund.
