Obituary

On Thursday January 15, 2015, retired Chief of Police, Larry Mueller unexpectedly passed at the age of 53. Larry is survived by his wife, Christina Mueller; his 6 children, Mathew and Tracy Mueller of Colorado Springs, Jason and Shelby Mueller, Victoria and John McFarland, Labrea Moon, Arorah Moon, and Dalyla Moon, all of Fort Morgan; and 4 grandchildren, Cayden, Carson, Charlotte, and Olivia. Larry was born on January 8, 1962 in Schenectady, New York to Larry and Anne Mueller. Larry served in the United States Army with the 1st Infantry Division out of Fort Reilly, Kansas from 1980-1984. After moving to Colorado Larry became a salesman for Schwan's, owned his own business, Home Electronics, worked with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, and graduated from the Police Academy in El Paso County in 1995. In 1996 Larry became a police officer for Log Lane Village and retired as Police Chief in 2007. He married his soul mate, Christina Deal in December of 2005. From 2007 to 2015 Larry served as a legal investigator for Crespin and Wilson Law Firm. His family will remember him as a strong, devoted, loving husband, father and grandpa. Larry enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing, camping with family and watching old western movies. Memorial services will be held at The Country Steak Out at 19592 E. 8th Ave Fort Morgan CO on Friday, January 23rd at 3:00 PM. A reception will follow immediately at the same location.
