Laura M. Conway, 93, passed away on Saturday July 16, 2022 at North Suburban Hospital in Thornton, CO. She was born in Kingman, Alberta, Canada on July 31, 1928 to Noah and Mary A. (Reist) Dettwiler.

Laura attended North High School in Denver, in 1947 she married Delbert Woods, to this union a son, Don was born. They later divorced. In 1950 she married Albert C. Conway, she became mother to 3 of Al's children, Frances, John and Albert L. (Bud) Conway and to this union 2 daughters, Judy and Mary, were added.

They lived in the Derby (now Commerce City, CO) until 1977 and made the move to Ogallala, NE and lived there until 1980, then moved to Brule, NE where they resided until Al's death in 2005. Laura moved to Fort Morgan with her daughter Judy, after a few years she moved to Thornton, CO with her daughter Mary where she was currently living.

Laura had many jobs in her life time, including working in two different box factories, pressing and hemming handmade drapes in her home, rewinding motors for machines, working in a turkey processing plant, along with being a mother, grandmother and taking care of her family. She loved collecting dolls and red cardinals, and she loved the color red.

Laura's survivors include her son, Don (Terri) Woods; daughters, Judy (Darrell) Armstrong and Mary Conway; three grandsons; seven granddaughters; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; ex-husband Delbert; daughter, Frances; sons, John and Bud; her parents; seven siblings; one granddaughter; and two grandsons.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Brush Memorial Cemetery in Brush, CO.
