Lauriann J. Helm, 14, died Friday evening, October 31, 2008, of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle rollover south of Brush. She was born November 30, 1993, in Tacoma, WA to Kenneth & BeaJay Helm. At the time of her death, Lauriann was a freshman at Woodlin High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lauriann enjoyed writing poems, working with horses, collecting teddy bears, and cooking. Survivors include her Mom & Dan, Richard & BeaJay Morgan of Brush; 2 brothers, Stephan Mallon and Douglas Helm both of Brush; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Mallon of Brush and Alexis Helm of Tacoma, WA., her maternal grandparents, Jim & Vickie Soule of Mancos, CO; her Great Grandfather, Donald Pomeroy of Brush; and two special uncles, Jay Morgan and Luke Morgan both of Brush. A funeral service and final resting place will be in Mancos, CO on Friday, November 7, 2008. A service in the Woodrow community will be held at a later date.
