Laurie Lynn Walker, 38, longtime resident of Ft. Morgan died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Denver. She was born September 27, 1971 in Ft. Morgan to Robert and Sharon (Waterman) Blackstun. Laurie loved spending time with her children. She collected dolphins. She had a heart of gold, enjoyed camping and the outdoors and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. Survivors include: three sons, Jerry Church III of Union City, Oklahoma, Stephen Walker and Bryan Walker both of Ft. Morgan, her mother, Sharon Blackstun of Ft. Morgan, one sister, Debra Pace-Spohn of Grand Junction, and one brother, Robert A. Blackstun of Ft. Morgan. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Blackstun, grandparents, Earl and Goldie Waterman and James Blackstun and Bernice Clark. There will be a visitation on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 2 until 5 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Sanctuary in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made, in Laurie's name in care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary at 225 E. Platte Ave., Ft. Morgan CO 80701.
