Leah Koehler, 92, former Brush and Morgan County resident, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007, at her daughter's home in Deadwood, SD. She was born June 5, 1914, in Snyder, CO, to George & Mary Wambolt. On June 8, 1932, Leah married William Koehler in Brush. She worked as a cook for the RE 2-J School District for 23 years and also worked at the Brushland Drug Store. She moved to Deadwood, SD to be closer to her daughter and family. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley, Begen, of Deadwood, SD; 1 son, William D. Koehler of Eads, CO; 1 brother, George Wambolt of Fort Morgan, CO; 3 sisters, Betty Pabst of Brush, Mary Geist of Wheatridge, CO, and Dorothy EMhovick of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Donald, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and her parents. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
