Lekell Kelly
Blake
Nov 11, 1979 — Dec 15, 2022
Brush
LeKell Blake joined her Lord and Savior on December 15 th , 2022 after a short battle with a blood infection. She was born in Greeley, Colorado on November 11, 1979 to Stanley and Karen Blake. LeKell attended school in Brush and graduated from Brush High School in 2000. She worked at Pizza Hut for many years but her passion was volunteering at Eben Ezer assisting with activities and visiting with her elderly friends. She was so proud of accomplishing her dream of living in her own apartment near the residents she visited so often. Putting puzzles together was a favorite past time, along with attending as many social events as she could find and get a ride to. She loved assisting at the Brush High School football ticket gates which allowed her interaction with so many people from the community.
Life was not easy for LeKell due to her physical and mental struggles, but she loved the life the Lord blessed her with. She never knew a stranger and her contagious smile and outgoing personality touched and brightened the lives of so many. She had a heart of gold and made an impact on everyone she met. LeKell loved her Lord, her family, her friends, and the family dog, Sport. She cherished the time spent riding her tricycle, her angel figurines, balloons, the color pink, and the Broncos.
She is survived by her parents, Stanley and Karen Blake of Brush; her sister, Beth Pfost (Corrie) of Thornton; brother, Danny Blake (Randi) of Brush; brother Mitch Blake (Julie) of Hillrose, along with her niece, Breanna; nephews, Kyle, Eian, Max, and Thatcher; her grandmother, Doris Chenoweth, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donny Blake; and grandparents, James Chenoweth, Henry and Twyla Blake.
