Leonard G. Taylor, 64, passed away Monday at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. He was born February 4, 1942, in Merced, CA, to Ernest & Etta J. Taylor. Leonard has lived in Washington & Morgan Counties most all his life. Prior to ill health forcing his retirement, Leonard worked as a security guard at the National Hog Farm near Kersey, CO. He married Sharon Gardner on July 29, 1964, in Greeley. He enjoyed helping raise his grandchildren, working outdoors, doing leather work, and mechanic work on vehicles. Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of Brush; 3 sons, Leonard, Ronald, and Ralph all of Brush; 1 brother, Rocky of Pineridge, AZ; 1 sister, Eleanor Christensen of Stockton, CA; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gail Jr., and Patrick, 2 brothers, Tom & Dean; 2 sisters, Violet and Bernice, and his parents. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. The service will conclude at the church. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to Hospice & Palliative Care of North Colorado in Fort Morgan.
