Leroy Earl Grippin Jr. passed away June 30, 2022. He was 79 years old.  He died peacefully  surrounded by loved ones.

Earl was born  September 9,1942 in Wichita Falls,TX to Leroy Grippin and Geneva Bell Wetzbarger Grippin.

Earl was a lifelong Brush resident.  He owned and operated Grippin Trucking, which is still in operation 74 years and four generations later.  It was not just a job to Earl, it was his love.  He developed life long friendships with those he did business with and had a lot of fun and adventures along the way,

Earl loved the outdoors and spent many hours planting and caring  for  trees. The same trees now stand tall and strong serving as a tribute to the devoted man he was. Earl was a man of God and never missed an opportunity to share all that God had done for him.

He was a generous and loyal friend.  He had a heart for those less fortunate and made sure that if someone was in need he would reach out a hand to ease their suffering.

Tougher than nails, there were many times we didn't think he would pull through, only for him to bounce back more determined than ever to get  on with the business of living,  Though it is a difficult time,  we take comfort in the memories and laughter this unforgettable man has left behind for us to cherish.  Thank you Earl.  We love you.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his son and daughter in law Travis  and Marlene Grippin daughter and son in law  Sherri and Mike Ficco and Robin and Wayne Schmecklee and son Paul Grippin. In addition to 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The procession will begin at 10 am. Heer Mortuary.  The graveside service will begin at the Brush Cemetery 10:30.  Service and reception to follow at Trinity Baptist Church. 345 Princeton Street Brush.
