Leroy L. Persohn Jr.,84, a Brush resident since 1980, passed away at his home in Brush on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. He was born August 14, 1922, in East Liverpool, OH, to Leroy Sr. & Faye Persohn. He served in the US Air Force during WW II. After his discharge, Leroy worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as an electrician. After retiring from the Bureau of Reclamation, he served as a Presbyterian clergyman. Following the death of his first wife, Lee married Vonnie Keller on May 15, 1993. Survivors include his wife, Vonnie, of Brush; 1 son, Leroy Persohn III of Corpus Christi, TX; 1 daughter, Josephine A. Stewart of Santa Rosa, CA; 2 stepchildren, Jerry Ray and Vonnie Lu Gier both of Tacoma, WA; 1 sister, Sara Alice Palmer of Norwalk, CA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma; 1 brother, George; and his parents. A funeral service will be held at the Heer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, February 2, 2007, at 1:30 PM. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
