Obituary

Leroy S. Lujan, 68, lifelong area resident, went to be with his Lord, Saturday April 2, 2016 in Fort Morgan. Leroy was born May 17, 1947 to Odilio and Bertha Lujan, in Llano, NM.

He and his family moved to Colorado during his young childhood. Leroy attended and completed school in Fort Morgan, then went on to join the Army. He was stationed in Germany, where he was able to enjoy visiting Spain and Italy. Leroy later met and married his wife Rita Abreo from Fort Morgan, on August 21, 1968. He worked for Cargill Meat Solutions for 30 years until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Leroy was active in kickboxing and Tae kwon do. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and mountain trips. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandsons play football and basketball. He was very proud of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His home was always open not only to his family, but also to his extended family, as well as friends. Leroy touched a lot of hearts and anyone who knew him, loved him.

He is survived by his children Fred and Stephanie; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his mother Bertha; 3 brothers and 4 sisters; as well as many in-laws and cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita; daughter Libby; grandson Zabian; father Odilio, and sister Loraine.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9th at 10 am at The Sanctuary West Campus, 14587 US HWY 34 in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
