On this day we both celebrate the life of and mourn the loss of Leslie (Ed) Loose, who passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Born into a farming family, Ed was one of four boys, to Carl and Leah Loose on December 29, 1945. He was a lifelong resident of Brush, CO where he attended Brush High and Norteastern Jr. College. After marrying the love of his life, Deb (deceased in 2019), Ed worked as a Loan Officer in Brush and Fort Morgan. Ed, along with his wife Deb, attended Brush United Methodist Church, where they both enjoyed the fellowship of all the people and Pastors there.

As a young man, Ed enjoyed playing sports such as basketball and softball. Throughout his life he loved to watch and cheer on the Broncos, Rockies, CU Buffs, and Avs. Ed and Deb also loved to travel and visit places where their son Dave and his wife Peggy were stationed, such as the Pentagon, Washington state, and Northern California. They especially enjoyed traveling with their dear friends, Bob and Cathy Smith to places such as Laughlin, NV and Santa Fe, NM.

Ed is survived by his loving brother Dennis Loose and his wife Charlene of Kersey, CO, and his devoted son Dave Loose and his wife Peggy of Vacaville, CA, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. People liked to joke that Ed was related to half the county! He is proceeded in death by his wife of over 50 years; Deb Loose, and his two brothers; Ron Loose and Steve Loose.

Although Ed's sudden passing has left a huge hole in our hearts, we should also find a space to smile knowing that he is back in the arms of his beloved wife Deb. May they both rest in paradise.

A Memorial Service will be held for Ed at Brush United Methodist Church, 1701 Edmunds Street Brush, CO 80723, Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11am.
