LILA M. HUNT, 82, lifelong Brush resident, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born September 25, 1927 in Brush to Clarence & Cora (Masters) Awmiller. She married Roland Hunt in Brush on May 31, 1946. Mrs. Hunt worked in the office at Brush Livestock Exchange and she and her husband owned and operated Hunt's Dairy for nearly 32 years. Mrs. Hunt was an avid Denver Bronco Fan. She and her husband sponsored slow pitch softball which they also enjoyed watching. They also faithfully attended basketball games and wrestling matches. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and trying new recipes. She is survived by three sons, James Hunt of Fort Morgan, Ronald Hunt and Gary Hunt, both of Brush; one daughter, Judith Scott of Bennett; 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Evelyn Couthard and Edith Nelson; and two brothers, Robert Awmiller and Harry "Stub" Awmiller. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 20th at 10:30 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
