Obituary

Lillian Mae Koll, 83, longtime area resident, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born June 17, 1927 in Galveston, Texas to George and Bess (Hasselmeier) Baker. Lillian was a member of the Christ Congregational Church for over 25 years but had been attending of Rankin Presbyterian Church in Brush of late. Mrs. Koll's passion was gardening, both her vegetable garden and her flowers. She enjoyed reading, her dogs and cats and shopping with her daughters. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lillian was always there for her family. Survivors include four sons; John Roelfsema and wife Sage of Cenntenial, Stephen Poppe, Robert Poppe, Paul Koll and partner Chris all of Denver, three daughters; Judith Bovard and partner Alec of Aurora, Susan Westhoff and husband Gordon of Fort Morgan, Rhonda Poppe of Corvallis, OR, 1 brother; Harry Baker of Los Angeles, CA, 1 sister; Jeanne Brown of Austin, TX, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William , two brothers; Raymond and George Baker, 2 sisters; Agnes Brim and Florine Brooks and grandson, Stephen Bovard. At Lillian's request no services are scheduled. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
