Linda Harlene White, born October 4th, 1941, passed away Saturday, January 16th 2016 at the age of 74. Linda was a long time resident of Fort Morgan, CO. She passed in the home and company of her daughter and son in law after an almost yearlong battle with cancer.
Linda was born at a hospital in Denver, Colorado but grew up in the Byers and Leader area. She attended school in Byers, CO. She married the love of her life, James Morton White on January 8th 1960. She was the loving mother of her two children, Jamie Lin and Monte Wade. She has lived in various areas of both Colorado and Wyoming with her family throughout the years. Linda was a homemaker and a farm wife for the majority of her life. She enjoyed working as a nurse for Doctor Blain in Byers, Colorado. She also loved her time working as an aide on the handicap bus for the Fort Morgan School District. She spoke so fondly of all of her children on the bus. She also spent time working at the First National Bank, Big T Grocery, and the Brush Sale Barn, as well as other various jobs. She enjoyed working on the farm, animals, gardening, bird watching, cross stitching, reading, studying family genealogy, cooking, camping, fishing and spending time with her family.
Linda is survived by her children, Jamie Lin Herron, Monte Wade White and their spouses Kenny Herron and Robin White; her grandchildren, Wade Herron, his fiancée Nicole Freauff, Caitlin Gentry and her husband Zachariah Gentry; her great grandchildren, Kamryn Smith, Kenzie Herron, Kale Gentry and Greyson Gentry; her brother, Tim Hunt and his wife Vicky, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Lena and Harley "Swede" Hunt; her sister, Sharon Lee Koepke; her grandson, Trae James White; her great granddaughter, Kinley Ann Herron; and her nephew, Jeffery "Goobie" Kane Hunt.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 22 nd , 2016 at 10:00 am at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow at the Hoyt Cemetery.
