Fort Morgan

Obituary

Loren Wray Probasco, 89, of Fort Morgan Colorado entered the kingdom of Heaven on March 28, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Loren was born in Kirk Colorado on December 27, 1934, where he was adopted by Verlyn and Edna Probasco. Loren graduated from Boulder High School in 1952 and married the love of his life, Louise Garton in 1955. Together they had four beautiful children, Douglas, Debra, Daniel, and Rodney.

Loren was a devoted Christan man and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church for 55 years. He worked as a farm hand and lumberjack before working for Sigmans from 1968-1983. He then worked for Cargill until he retired in 2000. The last two years, Loren was living at Valley View Villa after being diagnosed with cancer. He spent his days going to church, doing daily activities, listening to old music, and spending time with family.

Loren was a humble man who loved his family and the Lord. He was incredibly kind, hard-working, and a bit stubborn. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Loren prayed for others more than he would pray for himself. He enjoyed taking drives with family, the great outdoors and telling stories of his past. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest joy. He will be greatly missed.

Loren is survived by his sons, Douglas (Christina) Probasco, Daniel Probasco, and Rodney (Tamara) Probasco; six grandchildren, Shawnna, Jeremy, Samantha, Sarah, Justin, and Ryan; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard Probasco; sisters, Nedra and Neva; infant daughter, Debra; and his beloved wife, Louise.

A private service will be held for the family.
