Obituary

LORRAINE DREW, 80, of Fort Morgan, died Thursday morning, March 10, 2011 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born March 12, 1930 in Denver to Henry & Ruby (Isaac) Likes. She married Donald Drew in Greeley on January 25, 1948 and they have lived in Fort Morgan since. Mrs. Drew worked as an Operator for Mountain Bell for a number of years and she also worked for Edward Jones before her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Cherry Lot Club, and the Thimble Club. She also sang with a senior citizens band. She enjoyed playing the piano and the accordion. She was an avid reader and she also loved to play cards; 500, Pitch, and Pinochle were a few of her favorites. Above all else, Mrs. Drew cherished time spent with her family. Survivors include her husband, Donald Drew; two daughters, Janet Baumgartner and Judy Weimer, all of Fort Morgan; her son, Vernon Drew of Brush; her sister, Beverly Allen of Wheat Ridge; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15th at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. Private Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Drew's name to the charity of the donor's choice. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
