Lorrane "Bill" Troyer, 86, of Fort Morgan, died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.

He was born in Rooks County Kansas on October 14, 1929 to Bluford & Edith Troyer. He married Laura Stanley on June 19, 1951. They were married for nearly 61 years at the time of her death in 2012.

Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953. He worked as a Pipeliner most of his life before retiring. In his later years, Bill enjoyed growing roses and watching his garden grow.

He is survived by his four children, Larry Troyer of Cheyenne, WY, Anita Cornwell and her husband, Dave of Fort Morgan, Deb Troyer of Denver, and Jan Shepard and her husband, Wayne of Rock Springs, WY; two sisters, Ilene Mayfield of Fort Morgan and Leora Massey of Brush; two brothers, Jim Troyer of Burlington and Robert Troyer of Lindsborg, KS; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, two sisters; and his granddaughter, Tara Cornwell.

Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Sunday, July 31st from 4 – 6 PM.

A graveside service will be Monday, August 1st at 10:00 AM in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 19 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
