Lourine Hahlweg 97, of Fort Morgan, CO passed away Monday morning, Feb.28, 2022, at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan.  She was born Oct.14, 1924 in Saint Francis, Kansas to Fred & Frieda Richers.

The family moved from Kansas to Colorado where Lourine attended a country school North of Loveland, CO.  Later, she graduated cosmetology school in Denver.  While working in Steamboat, Lourine met her husband, Raymond Hahlweg.  They married Feb.12, 1950 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loveland.  A year later they moved from Steamboat to Ft. Morgan where Ray was a building contractor.

Lourine and Ray enjoyed camping, fishing, and lots of traveling.  They also enjoyed attending many dances throughout their marriage.  Lourine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Guild.  She belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bridge with many friends.

Survivors include her three daughters, Linda McAlister (husband Terry), Debra Parachini (husband Mike), and Karen Weitzel (husband Craig) all of Ft. Morgan. Five grandchildren, Lance McAlister (wife Kerrie) of Ft. Morgan, Jennifer Watters (husband Travis) of Flower Mound, TX, Trisha Parachini of Lakewood, CO, Chelsea Weitzel, and Cody Weitzel (wife Jackie) both of Denver, CO.  Great grandchildren include MacKenzie, Brayden, and Taylor McAlister, Hannah Waters, and Adelaide and Bridget Weitzel.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, two sisters, Esther Geist and Ruth Harl, two brothers, Raymond Richers and LeRoy Richers, and her Parents, Fred and Frieda Richers.

Memorial services will be held Monday March 14, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
