Obituary

Loyd Milton Simpson, son of Harry and Virgie (Barker) Simpson, was born Northwest of Oberlin, Kansas on August 18, 1929 and passed away on July 9, 2013 at the age 83 years 1 month and 9 days. Mr. Simpson was employed by the CB&Q Railroad in 1948 and retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1996. On April 9, 1950, Loyd married Marilyn Louise Brand, his high school sweetheart. They moved to Denver, CO from Stamford, NE in 1963. Then moved to Fort Morgan, CO 1982. Loyd enjoyed collecting model airplanes, cars, trains, and doing woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Loyd is survived by three daughters, Connie Walborn of Thornton, CO, Pamela Simpson of Keenesburg, CO, and Renee Simpson of Thornton, CO, one brother, Elva Simpson, of Orleans, NE, 2 grandsons, Andrew Simpsonand his wife Jeana, and Michael Walborn and his wife Chastity, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, and his parents. Visitation will be Monday, July 15, 2013 from 10 to 1 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Friends who wish to make memorial donations to the American Heart Association in c/o of Heer Mortuary.
