LuAnne E. Padilla, 63, passed away peacefully Monday, September 6, 2021, at the University Medical Center in Aurora, CO. She was born April 30, 1958, in Chicago, IL to Herbert & Vyola Weigelt.

LuAnne graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo, CO.  She worked for the Morgan County Combined Courts for over 20 years and later served as the administrative assistant at Sterling Police Department.  On June 27, 1998, she married Rudy Padilla in Fort Morgan.

LuAnne enjoyed collecting antiques and recently started quilting, a hobby she greatly enjoyed.  Her favorite time was spent with her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Rudy; 5 children, Gregory (Naomi) Montano Jr., Phyllis Ramos, Charlene (Alonzo) Carrera, Robyn (Dallas) Brown, and Mary Padilla; 1 brother, Jim Weigelt; 2 sisters Iola Theilen and Jackie Ziemba; 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 1 brother Herbert Weigelt Jr and her parents.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 13, 2021, at 10:30 AM at the Platte Valley Baptist Church on Highway 34 east of Fort Morgan.  Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
