Luciano B. Torrez, 85, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. He was born February 7, 1931, in Torrance County, NM to Eliseo & Rufina Torrez.

Luciano married Shirley Jermark on December 31, 1955, in Brush. Prior to retirement he worked for Mohrlang Mfg for about 50 years.

Luciano enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his 3 sons, Jim, and his wife Linda of St. Helen, OR; Paul, and his wife Jackie of Brush; and Mike of Brush; 1 sister Priscilla Sisneros of Las Animas, CO; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; 2 brothers, Obie & Speedy; 1 sister Nellie; and his parents.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Thursday from 5 – 7 PM.
