Obituary

LUCILLE AVERNE DAVEY, 82, lifelong area resident, died Friday evening, March 28, 2008 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born September 25, 1925 in Brush, CO to Paul R. & Blanch B. (Messenger) Coleman. She married W. Gale Davey in Saint Francis, KS on December 6, 1943. Mrs. Davey was a member of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan, Saint Helena Altar & Rosary Society, and a past member of the Does. She enjoyed bowling, playing bridge, horse racing, and watching games shows. She liked spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Davey is survived by her husband, W. Gale Davey; her son, Nicky Davey; and her daughter, Judy Billiard, all of Fort Morgan. She is also survived by two brothers, Duane Coleman of El Paso, TX, and Dean Coleman of Burlington, CO, 4 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren, and 2 step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Vera Gabriel; and her son, James Davey. A Rosary Vigil will be Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 4th at 10:30 AM at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Friends may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Davey's name, 2255 South Oneida, Denver, CO 80224 or to Saint Helen Catholic Church. The Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
