Lynne Redman of Wickenburg, Arizona passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, with family and friends by her side.

Lynne was born in Denver, Colorado on June 13, 1950, to Lodema (Olson) Hokr and R.J. Hokr. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, CO, in 1968 and studied fashion design and merchandising at Arizona State University. She later found her passion for teaching, earning her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education from the University of Northern Colorado and later completing her Master's degree in design and merchandising at CSU.

Lynne was passionate about making learning fun for her students and enjoyed teaching K-12th grade. She worked throughout rural Colorado, including in Weld, Larimer and Morgan County School districts. Her highlights included teaching first grade at Green Acres Elementary and as an Administrator at Sherman Elementary School.

Lynne's spontaneity and light-hearted humor brought joy to all that she encountered. She was a positive influence and role model, actively enjoying her hobbies of tennis, golf, and traveling. Some of her favorite places to visit included Alaska, Australia, and the Caribbean islands.

She was most active in the Equestrian world, including rodeo events in the Little Britches Rodeo and Junior Rodeo Association, as well as 4-H horse and livestock shows. In high school, she was very proud of her role as the Adams County Rodeo Queen. She later also held the ASU Rodeo Queen title, which allowed her to travel throughout the state.

As an adult, Lynne enjoyed sports including Western Pleasure, and English, and spent much of her time training in the Cutting horse arena. However, she returned to barrel racing, joining the WPRA and NSPRA. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends to these events throughout Wyoming, Nebraska, Arizona, Colorado, and Canada. She eventually retired from her teaching career to pursue the rodeo arena. She met her "Soul horse," Doc's Special Magic, and together, they went on to compete in many shows at the National level including the AQHA World Show. Their most prized project, however, was raising 2 Docs Ta Fame, Doxie's foal.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Paul. She is survived by her sister, Cindy Lindsey of Oregon, and daughter, Lindsy Redman, of Scottsdale, AZ.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 31st at 10:30 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan, CO. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
