Lynnette Gale Schreiber, 57, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center hospice center following a courageous battle with breast cancer for the past five years. She was born at the Eben Ezer Hospital in Brush on April 2, 1952, to Howard & Vera Schreiber. Lynnette attended Woodlin School, graduating with the class of 1970. She attended Morgan Community College studying as a Certified Nurse Assistant before becoming employed by the Brush Locker where she worked diligently from 1974 – 1986. In 1986 she moved to Littleton, CO where she was a dedicated and loving nanny of the McNellis Family until 1990. Lynnette returned to the Brush community to become an employee of the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in September, 1990. She worked caringly as a food service provider until her illness prevented her from further employ in July, 2008. She was a faithful member of the Christ Congregational Church. Lynnette was an avid reader and a faithful Rockies and Broncos fan. She loved a variety of music; most especially the poetic and soulful tunes of Jackson Browne. Lynnette had a tremendous work ethic, an iron will and a determined spirit. She adored her niece Robin, Robin's husband, Terrell, and her nephew, Devin. Over the past few years she found a special love and learned the true meaning of joy through her great-niece, Heidi, and great-nephew, Gabriel. Survivors include her mother, Vera Schreiber of Last Chance; her brothers, Neal and Gerald, and his wife, Kay, all of Last Chance; her sisters, Angela and husband Eric of Lakewood and Nancy of Littleton; two loving aunts, Ruth Isherwood of Yakima, WA and Alice Behr of Last Chance. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Howard, and her cherished nephew, Gabe. Her strength of spirit, abiding love, and enduring friendship will be missed by so many. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign Street in Fort Morgan. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Tuesday from 1:30 – 5:30 PM.
