Obituary

Lucille Reno, 97, life resident of the Snyder Community, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born October 5, 1919, on the family farm near Snyder to Charles & Ella Baughman.

Lucille graduated from Snyder High School. She attended, and graduated from, Colorado State Teachers College (now known as University of Northern Colorado). In 1940 Lucille married Marvin Reno in Nebraska. She served as the postmaster of the Snyder Post Office for over 30 years.

Lucille was one of the founders of the Snyder Bible Church. She remained very active until ill health forced her to slow down. She enjoyed reading & writing poetry, music (especially playing her mandolin), gardening, doing handwork, and participating / leading Bible studies.

Survivors include her two children, Medina Kelly of Basalt, CO and Mickey of Big Bear Lake, CA; 2 sisters, Wilma Cole of Fort Collins, CO and Doris Jean DeGraw of LaBarge, WY; 4 grandsons, Kerry Kelly, Rory Kelly, Collin Reno & Aaron Reno; and 3 great granddaughters, Sasha Reno, Juliette Reno, and Arden Reno. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; 2 daughters, Marva Lynn and Marlana Louise; 1 sister, 3 brothers and her parents.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Snyder Bible Church. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
