M. Timothy "Tim" Weitzel, 55, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 inChicago, Illinois. He was born May 12, 1952 in Ft. Morgan to Melvin and Marian (Meininger) Weitzel. Tim was baptized and confirmed in the Christ Congregational Church in Ft. Morgan. He graduated from Ft. Morgan High School in 1970 and then attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins graduating with a degree in Business Management. Tim worked for his dad at M&H Auto Parts in Sterling until moving to Chicago, Illinois where he worked in the commodities and futures market at the Chicago Board of Trade. He loved fly fishing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Tim liked sports and was on his high school golf team and also the golf team at CSU. Survivors include his mother, Marian Weitzel of Ft. Morgan, two sisters, Penni Raines and husband Sid of Franktown, Colorado and Jennifer Fearer and husband Dan of Mesa, Arizona, three nieces, Jamie and Amanda Raines and Samantha Fearer and one nephew, Jonathon Fearer. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Melvin J. Weitzel. Memorial Services will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Congregational Church in Ft. Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. There will be a private family inurnment in Serenity Falls Columbarium. Memorial gifts may be made to either the Christ Congregational Church or to the Heritage Foundation in Ft. Morgan. Arrangements by the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Ft. Morgan.
