Magdaleno San Miguel, 89, longtime area resident, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his home in Ft. Morgan. He was born December 14, 1922 in Hidalgo, Texas. He married Elisa Garza in 1943 in Texas. Magdaleno enjoyed taking long walks, traveling, fishing, hunting, listening to music, and his younger years he played the accordion. Survivors include, his children, Viola Medina of Elsa, Texas, Louis San Miguel of Dallas, Texas, Gustavo San Miguel, and Oscar San Miguel both of Lubbock, Texas, David San Miguel of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Valdamar San Miguel of Kimball, Nebraska, Gilbert San Miguel and Stella Perez both of Brush, and Esmeralda Resendez, Ilda Cano and Blancha Garcia, all of Ft. Morgan. Magdaleno was preceded in death by his wife, Elisa, his parents, two sons, Mike and Martin San Miguel, brothers Juan, Jose Angel, Fedel, Pilar and Mario San Miguel, sisters, Luc Gonzalez, Conchita San Miguel, Matilde San Miguel and Manuela San Miguel. There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 4 until 7pm at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Platte Valley Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
