Malvin Lee Walter, 75, longtime area resident, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his home in Weldona. Malvin was born in 1938 in St. Francis, Kansas to Albert and Edna Walter. He married Carolyn K. Hubbell on April 12, 1969 in Ft. Morgan. Malvin was an avid sportsman and liked camping, hunting and fishing, archery and bowling. He always had a garden and enjoyed taking care of it. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, of Weldona; a daughter, Linda Garcia and her husband, Marty of Pueblo; his grandsons, Travis and Tony; a sister, Doris and close friend, Jim Pickett of Ft. Morgan. Malvin was preceded in death by his parents. At his request, no funeral services are scheduled at this time. Memorial gifts may be made to the Hospice of Northern Colorado. Malvin's family would like to thank Hospice for the great care he received.
