Manuel Perez Sr. 71, life resident of Fort Morgan area, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at his home. He was born June 17, 1941, in Fort Morgan to Nick & Rafaila Perez. Prior to retirement, Manuel worked for Keith Bath farms as a truck driver. He was a member of Platte Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on machinery, especially cars. His favorite past time was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Lupe Lujan and Joe Perez both of Greeley, Delphina Perez, Linda Lopez, Albert Perez and Adam Perez all of Fort Morgan, and Manuel Perez Jr. of Hillrose; 3 sisters, Jenny Rodriquez, and Margie Neava both of Fort Morgan and Santos SanMiguel of NE; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Maria, 3 brothers, Glen, Henry, and Dave, and his parents. Interment service will be at Memory Gardens on Friday, January 25, at 10:30 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Thursday from 2 – 5 PM.
