Manuela Carreras, 86, of Brush, passed away, August 29, 2020 at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.

She was born December, 24, 1933, in Mexico.

She was married to J. Concepcion Carreras, who passed away in 1987.

Manuela was an active member of St. Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed cooking, singing, praying, knitting, going for long walks, and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She will be remembered for her green thumb, but most of all, for her big heart.

Survivors include her children: Abel Carrera (Thomasa) of Fort Morgan, Concepcion Carreras (Valentina), of Ohio; daughter-in-law, Dora Serrano of Fort Morgan, 4 sons:  Jorge, Cesareo, Martin, and Reymundo, and 3 daughters: Juana, Erika, and Laura who reside in Mexico; 27 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Manuela is preceded in death by her husband J. Concepcion, her sons: Ricardo and Gustavo, her daughters: Maria and Socorro, and her parents.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be Friday, September 4, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church.
