Marcie Emmerson, 62, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011, at her home in Brush. She was born August 22, 1948, in Albert Lea, MN, to Sheldon & Norma Swenson. Marcie married Jack Emmerson on March 22, 1966, in New Orleans, LA. In 1993 the Emmerson family moved to the Brush community. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and being with her family. Survivors include her children, Casey Emmerson & Josef Emmerson both of Kodiak, Alaska; Kristen Ashby of Oklahoma City, OK, and Michelle Dunn of Brush; 2 sisters, Janelle Swenson & Mavis Swenson both of Minnesota, her Mother, Norma Robinson of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fort Morgan. Interment will be at 11:45 AM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush on Thursday from 4 – 5 PM.
