Margaret Schonstrom, 75, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born November 2, 1939 in Montrose, CO to Floyd and Merle Leavitt. Margaret married Paul Schonstrom on August 11, 1960 in Lakewood, CO. Margaret was an active member of United Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon and singing in the choir. She was a board member of the Morgan County Concert Association. Margaret enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading. She spent most of her time with her family and friends. Survivors include, her husband, Paul; two daughters, Seva Schonstrom of Fort Morgan and Katrina Starkweather of Fort Collins; one sister, Cathy Leavitt of California; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Paul (Ted) Schonstrom III, and her parents. A memorial service will be held January 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, 1300 E. Riverview, Fort Morgan, CO. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the church Memorial Fund in Margaret's name.
