MARGARET SYLVIA SMITH, 75, of Brush, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born March 29, 1935 in Stockholm, NY to Neil & Doris (Nichols) Cyrus. Mrs. Smith has lived in Brush, CO since 1967. She worked in the food service industry for the majority of her life before her retirement. Mrs. Smith enjoyed crafts of all sorts and she especially enjoyed collecting dolls. Survivors include her seven children, Dawn Covey and Jeanette Gielligos, both of Brush, Norene Skraback of Yuma, Wayne Cheney of Sterling, Cynthia Pomichter and Marilyn Koehlar, both of Arizona, and Anthony Cheney of Georgia; one sister, Linda Lamora; and three brothers, Ronald Cyrus, Charles Cyrus, and Leon Cyrus, all of New York. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Wayne, James, Merle, Neil Jr., Lee, Richard, Jack, and Bill; her husband, Ronald L. Smith; her son, Randy; and her daughter, Patricia Lynn. A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 18th at 10:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush.
