Margaret Ureste, 90, longtime Fort Morgan area resident, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020.  She was born February 17, 1930, in El Paso, TX to Heraclio & Maria Concepion Torrez.

The Torrez family moved to Fort Morgan in 1945.  On December 17, 1959, Margaret married Santos G. Ureste in Fort Morgan.

Margaret enjoyed cooking huge meals, baking and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed watching various animal programs on TV, her pet cats, and doing word search puzzles.

Survivors include her 5 children, Cynthia Salazar of Aurora, CO, Patricia Henton of Little Elm, TX, Diana (Wayne) Davis of Raleigh, NC, Charles Ureste of Fort Morgan and Kathleen (Kenneth) Wright of Fort Morgan; 3 brothers, Fernando Torrez of Denver, Richard Torrez of Bogota, Columbia South America. Robert of New Mexico, Inez Baltazar of Wiggins, and Mary Ruth (Mick) Shimonek of LeMoyne, NE; 11 grandchildren, Ulish, Philina, Amara, Mary, Paulina, Myles, Brendan, Treyton, Dorian, Kayla, and Tony; 7 great grandchildren, Hayden, Jude, Gavyn, Pierce, Ezrah, Kymber, and Dante.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, Rosalee and Virginia; 5 brothers, Ted, Alfred, Eric, Victor, Joseph, and; and her parents.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, November 13, 2020, at 10:30 AM at the Berean Bible Church in Fort Morgan.  A private inurnment service will be held in Memory Gardens.
