Margery A. Johnson, 95, longtime Brush area resident, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She was born June 23, 1919, in Hugo, CO, to Carl & Carrie Rasmussen. In 1927 the Rasmussen family moved to Morgan County. Margery graduated from Brush High School in 1937. Following graduation, Margery worked at Central School and the Emerson Theater. On June 17, 1943, she married Dale Johnson in Brush. Margery worked with Dale on their farm west of Brush. She loved being outside, working in her yard, and always had a beautiful flower garden. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Survivors include her son, Larry, and his wife Deborah Johnson of Brush; 2 granddaughters, Amy Johnson & Marci Wickham; and 2 grandchildren, Myer and Taryn Wickham. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, and her parents. A graveside service has been held at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
