Maria del Carmen Garcilazo, 91, of Brush, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the East Morgan County Hospital.  She was born Nov 30, 1928, in Mexico to Mauro Reyes & Cecilia Ruiz.

Maria married Antonio Garcilazo in 1946 in Mexico.  She has lived in Morgan County for over 20 years.

Maria was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Survivors inlcude her  children Beatriz, Abel, Raquel, Jorge, Rosalva, Carmen, Analilia, Jose Amulfo, Laura, Maria, Antonio, Jesus, and Maria Elena.  Also by 50 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren, and 3 great – great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Aantonia, 1 son, Maximiano, 3 grandsons, 1 great great granddaughter, and her parents.

Visitation will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at 6:00 PM followed by a rosary service at 7:00 PM.  A Mass  of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 3, 2020, at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Interment will follow the Funeral Mass in the Brush Memorial Cemetery next to her son, Maximiano.
