Maria "Maggie" Lopez, 54 died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born July 5, 1953 in Salinas, California to Bernardo and Romana (Azuara) Rivera. Maria married Frank Lopez on January 6, 1974 in Ft. Morgan. She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan. Maria enjoyed spending time her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Frank Lopez, two daughters, Marie Lopez and Lola Rodriguez all of Ft. Morgan, her mother, Romana Rivera of Elsa, Texas, seven sisters, Stella Rivera of Elsa, Texas, Viola Briseno of Arlington, Texas, Melin Serda of Sharyland, Texas, Elvira Lopez of Arkansas, Elvia Zamaro of Elsa, Texas, Martha Rivera of Elsa, Texas and Sylvia Hernandez of Lavilla, Texas, one brother, Joe Rivera of Elsa, Texas six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernardo, one sister, Mary Ramos and one brother, Eliseo Rivera. A Rosary Vigil will be Monday, December 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Helena Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary at St. Helena at 10:30 AM.
