Maria Resendez Segura, was 80 years old when she went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2020 due to a sudden illness.

She was born on July 2, 1940 in Mercedez Texas to Sabino and Francisca Resendez. She was the youngest of five children. Maria married Zenon Segura and together they have seven children. They moved from Texas in the 60's to Colorado and called it their home. Maria has six sons and one daughter. Her only job was taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as she took pride in raising them. Sadly, her first born passed away at a young age (Jr Segura). She is survived by her children, Angel, Bicente, Alfredo, Antonio, Sofia and Delfino all of Fort Morgan. She is also survived by one sister, Juana Rodriquez of Washington 15 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Maria was known for her Chile and especially her homemade tortillas. She enjoyed getting her nails and hair done by her granddaughter, watching the Bronco's games, and loved playing Lotteria. When relaxing, she enjoyed gossiping with her best friend, Susie Castillo and watching golden girls until she cried with laughter. Maria's kind heart and contiguous laughter will be memories that will last a life time.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Zenon Segura and is reunited with him after 45 years. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Edubijen Resendez, Manuel Garcia; her grandson, Rickie Lee Segura - Santisteven and great grandson, Davion Santisteven.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7 ^th , 2020 from 4-6 PM with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel in Brush.
