Marian L. Stolte,76, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Greeley.

She was born December 26, 1942 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Vernon and Hazel (Kuebler) Rockhold.

Marian married Charles "Wes" Stolte on June 25, 1973 in Brighton.

Marian taught math and elementary classes for over 30 years in Brush.

Marian enjoyed quilting, spending time at Sew Downtown, reading, and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.  She was a member of the American Quilting Guild.

Marian loved her cat, Olivia, and all other animals. She was a strong advocate for animal rights.

Survivors include her daughter Keyleigh Gurney and husband Matt of Greeley, granddaughter, Acadia Gurney, and grandson, Wyatt Gurney, sisters, Marilyn Hayes, and husband John, of Wyoming, and Carol Kallsen and husband Rick, of Kansas.  Marian thought of every Gurney family member as her own.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Wes, niece Paige Kallsen, and her parents.

Memorial Services will be Friday, July 19. 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Brush.  Services will conclude at the mortuary.
