MARIE MICHAEL, 87, died Monday morning, October 25, 2010 at Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. She was born December 24, 1922 in Fort Morgan to Jacob G. & Katherine (Sigwardt) Loose. She married Manuel "Cope" Michael on March 17, 1940 in Sidney, NE. Mrs. Michael worked as a sales associate for A. G. Eaker for 27 years before her retirement. She was a member of Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. Mrs. Michael was an exceptional cook and she took great pride in her german heritage foods. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and sewing. Perhaps her latest accomplishment was becoming president of resident council at Valley View Villa this year. Survivors include four daughters, June Michael of Fort Morgan, Kathy Michael of Denver, Barb Burr of Greeley, and Rosemary Hood of Maroa, IL; her son, Jim Michael of Broomfield; her sister, Kate Gettman of Delta, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, four sisters, her husband; an infant son, Ronald; her daughter, Connie Michael; and her great granddaughter, Brianna Holguin. Funeral services will be Friday, October 29th at 10:30 AM at Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
