Marie Mylander, 76, longtime Fort Morgan area resident, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born January 28, 1941, in Yuma, CO, to Harold & Martha Forbes.

Marie graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1959. On August 16, 1959, she married Stanley R. Mylander in Fort Morgan. Marie worked as a property manager for Dave Graff for many years.

Marie was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene in Fort Morgan, and currently was a member of the Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed playing the piano, doing embroidery work, and ironing.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley of Log Lane Village; 3 children, Norelda (Jigger) Graham of Brush; Russell (Twila) of Cheyenne, WY, and Ronald (Amy) of Borger, TX; 4 brothers, Vearlon (Sharron) Forbes of Fort Morgan, Garry (Trudy) Forbes of Denton, TX, Loran Forbes of Salina, KS, and Al (Beth) Forbes of Fort Morgan. 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; Nephews, Nieces and a host of Friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Fort Morgan Chapel on Sunday from 3- 5 PM.
