Marilyn Jean Forbes, known to her grandkids as "Moomau," was born on May 28, 1936, and passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 89, after a long battle with Dementia. She traveled the country with her husband Donald Forbes and settled in Sterling, Colorado, surrounded by the love she built and the family and friends who felt it every day.

Marilyn was born to Herbert and Augustine Miles. Marilyn dedicated her life to spreading God's love. She could always be counted on to provide a sympathetic ear and to help in any way she could. She married the love of her life, Donald Forbes. Their partnership was strong, full of laughter, and rooted in true love.

Marilyn was a loving mother to Judy Forbes, Donald Forbes, Kelley Scott, Kenneth Forbes, and Dana Forbes. She was known as Moomau by her grandchildren: Boyd Forbes, Laura Barnett, Matthew Thies, Sean McLachlan, Brie Hein, Andrew Scott, Michelle Forbes, Cory Forbes, Kortney Forbes, Derick Forbes, and Julie Forbes. Marilyn also had several great-grandchildren. Marilyn's siblings include David Miles, Paul Miles, and Betty McChristian.

In her spare time, she studied the bible, built puzzles, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for the way she loved God and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Forbes, Daughter Judy Forbes, and Daughter Kelley Scott.

Marilyn "Moomau" Forbes leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her and she spread God's love everywhere she went.

Services will be on Saturday April 11, 2026 at Faith Cornerstone Church, 230  Williams Place, Sterling, CO 80751at 2:00 PM.
