Marilyn Ann (Neill) Kembel-Batts, 81, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at her home in Fort Morgan.

Marilyn was born April 14, 1937 in Denver. Her parents were Dyas & Lois Neill of Fort Morgan. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the class of 1955 and then attended Colorado State College of Education which is now UNC in Greeley. She married Daniel Kembel on September 1, 1957. They had two sons, Kraig Michael and Kevin Layne. After the death of her husband in 1991, Marilyn married Leslie Batts of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. For the last 20 some years they would Snowbird between their home in Florida and their home in Fort Morgan.

Marilyn was a member of the Church of Christ, a volunteer at Colorado Plains Medical Center, and a member of the Fort Morgan Community Hospital Auxiliary, and Friends of Colorado Plains Medical Center. She enjoyed going to exercise classes, reading, Bible classes, and taking yearly trips to Estes Park, a favorite place to visit. In 2017 she had the privilege of taking a trip to China with her son Kevin for an 80 ^th birthday celebration.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dr. Leslie Batts of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her son, Kevin Kembel of La Jolla, CA; her brother, Paul Neill of Chicago, IL; step daughter, Lisa Batts of Stuart, FL; two granddaughters, Emma and Carly, and her nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 1 ^st at the Heer Mortuary Chapel, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan.

Funeral services will Saturday, February 2 ^nd at 2:00PM, also at the mortuary. Private Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Mountain States Children's Home or to Colorado Plains Medical Center.
